Not really shocking - Reuters cropped out the image of one of the "peaceful aid workers" on the Gaza-bound flotilla holding a knife.
He probably was just done buttering his bagel with it. I'm sure it wasn't used in an assault to provoke a violent response from soldiers, in a vain attempt to become a "martyr" for Allah, Islam and the Palestinian people.
